Note: Levels
are decided by the publishers of the titles -- not me. Some books in a certain
level maybe harder than others.
Catwings
Very simple chapter book series. Lots of pictures -- so simple
that it could be used while reading a leveled reader.
A Ballad of the Civil War
The
Puppy Who Wanted A Boy
Sarah Whitcher's
Story
Billy and Blaze Series
Little
Eddie Series by Carolyn Haywood
Little Soup's Hayride Look for other books in the Soup
series by Robert Peck.
Narnia
Adaptations
The Mystery of the White
Elephant and other books in the Three Cousins Detective
Club Series.
Ben and Me
Magic
Tree House Series These have some historical facts
scattered throughout the stories but most still consider these twaddle. I,
however, really like this series for beginning readers. There are lots of books
in this series, it is cheapest to buy them by box sets than individually, and
you do not have to read them in order.
Magic School Bus Chapter Book Series My boys love anything
with Mrs. Frizzle in it and these are no exception. My boys loved to read these
and even learned some science along the way.
Captain Underpants
Series This is not one of my top picks for early readers
but it is one of my sons favorite series to read.
Hank
the Cowdog Series These are suppose to be great for
readers who hate change. These books always start with the same line, have
exactly the same amount of chapters, and ends with the same line. This could get
monotonous for some for others its ideal!
Bionicles Series
This is not one of my top picks for early readers but it
is one of my sons favorite series to read.
Ricky
Ricotta and the Mighty Robots Series This is not one of my
top picks for early readers but it is one of my sons favorite series to read.
Jigsaw Jones Series Another mystery series. Several of these books are
recommended by Veritas Press in their advanced reader package. My son enjoyed
them. These do not have to be read in order.
