About Us

We live on the outskirts of one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. While we love the city and would never dream of moving away, we also enjoy the small town feel we get from where we are at. Everything closes early. Most streets are still 4 way stops and the city is only a glimmer in the distance despite the fact that it is only 30 minutes away. Every thing is a drive but you get used to it after a while. The only thing we would trade this for is another city with seasons!

We were blessed with three boys after being told we would never be able to have children. I am even more blessed to be able to spend my days at home with them and educating them while my husband is at work. He has been in the construction industry for over 20 years now.

Our home office doubles as our school room. Organization is the key to success .... or at least that is my motto. Everything has a place to be in. Plastic see-through shoe boxes, toy bins, and labels are my friend. I also have a special box for posters and a filing cabinet for all of those catalogs. The only thing I need now is more book cases but if I would only stop buying more books that problem would be solved. But that will never happen!! Too many good books to read and reading is so much better than television! My how a few years of home schooling changes your point of view! I never thought I would say that. Now if I ever get tired of shopping we are going to have a serious problem! I may just have to commit myself to the mental institution. If not, I know my husband will! : -)

We are actively involved in our son's activities ... depending on the season you will find us coaching soccer or baseball. My husband is desperate to coach football but alas the boys are still to young. He also plays drums on Weds. nights at our church while our boys attend scouts.

Meghan's Hope

Meghan was a beautiful 3 year old little girl who died tragically in December 2004, when the dresser she was climbing tipped over on top of her. To honor her memory, her family has started an organization to get information out to parents and caregivers so that another child does not have to suffer needlessly. Please visit the link above for more information.

Len Munsil For Arizona Governor

I am not one to normally promote a candidate for office or to even debate politics. This is such a personal decision and one that I feel should be treated with respect. However, I am willing to make an exception just this once. Len Munsil is a former home schooling father who believes in protecting the rights of families. So far he has proven to be honest and up front... I only pray that he continues to do so and this is not another political scheme to get more votes.
