PK Book List
Hands-On Ideas for PK
Home Plate Academy

Below is a list of books that I have collected from several sources. Most have been shared with my children or I am planning on sharing them soon. Once upon a time, this list was alphabetical ... I am not sure of the exact order now. Some of the books that were originally on this list have been recommended else where on this site so they have been removed. This is the list that I got based off of suggestions for library titles for my son when we were using Core PK. I hope you find this as useful as I have!

Noddy Series. This is a great series from the UK that come highly recommended by a dear friend of mine, Paula in Portugal.   1001 Things to Spot on a ... series by Usborne. Similar in style to the I Spy books. How we use these is I point to one of the pictures on the boarder surrounding the main picture and say the word. I have my child repeat the word after me then look for the matching object repeating the word and pointing to where they found the picture. This helps build vocabulary and pronunciation in young children.

DK Eyewitness Series This is another one we got at our library and have yet to find elsewhere. These videos cover a wide range of topics.

Magic School Bus Series My boys love these!! They are great and they also love the books.
