Genealogy is such an important part of history but one that seems to be have forgotten when one is teaching the basics of history. For us, we have made this a part of our family, a part of our education. I highly encourage you to help your child create a family tree. There is software available to help you with this. Start by sending out a basic fact sheet to each of your living relatives. Ask them to include a picture. You will be amazed what you find out. Coming Soon!!! I will be adding links to sites where you to can search for relatives. I have meet 2 distance relatives in my search so far and am anxious to meet others as well. I hope you enjoy finding the history of your family out as well. |
