Sonlight Arizona is a support group that I created for others who use Sonlight Curriculum like myself. When I first started home schooling, I found that others were not as supportive of my choice of curriculum and lack of textbooks as I was. Nor were they supportive of those with young children just starting out. I was viewed more as a person who simply was "playing school" yet not actually doing it. I was looking for like minded individuals to do things with, talk things over with, and support me in this journey. Over the years, our group has grown and now includes not only members all over the state of Arizona but in all age ranges as well. We are also adding to our group by including those who use Winter Promise to our inner circle as well. I can't wait to see all that this group has to offer in the future!!
The Yahoo Group provides us with a way to communicate and support one another on a daily basis. I am hoping to add a discussion forum to this website sometime in the future. Look for details soon! Until then -- the yahoo group is the place to find all the details on our field trips, park days, moms night out, special core related events, and other great things to do with other families in your area.
